MANUKAU CANOE & ADVENTURE CLUB

Manukau Canoe & Adventure Club is a group of diverse individuals interested in enjoying the outdoors and socializing with others.  We aim to enjoy each others company, good food, and the scenery while participating in the sports we have in common.

Some of us live for the adrenalin, some of us want to explore different places, while others like to relax away from it all.

We are involved in whatever activities members of the club are keen to organise.

WHAT'S NEW THIS WEEK?

Tuesday Night Surfing
Muriwai, Piha, Port Waikato – anywhere that takes our fancy, we can rotate to suit everyone
Planning to arrange something for each Tuesday evening from 5pm – anyone interested text Rhys 027 6236343

Fuljames was a huge success!
Great paddle down the river and an extended play on the wave on Sat, perhaps the water was a little too high on Sun but still good fun.
Di and Marianne made it a mountain biking weekend with trails completed at the Craters of the Moon and the Redwood Forest in Rotorua.
Above all, the terrible weather forecast held off in the Taupo region – sunny and warm(ish) camping at a great new location … thanks to Nicki and Rhys for all their planning and arranging

Access 10 - Tongariro River
There is further scheduled maintenance of the Poutu Canal, betwen 28th October and 24th December. This means the Access 10 section section (and lower grade II) will be at natural flows instead of the minimum 16 cumecs. The estimated flow will be about 30 cumecs however is subject to weather conditions.
If anyone is interested in a trip let us know
